EmbryoScope®, cleared for clinical use in Europe in 2009, is the only time-lapse system which is FDA-cleared for clinical use in the USA. It allows the uninterrupted culture of embryos while maximizing the amount of embryo development information collected using time-lapse microscopy.

The technology is used in routine clinical practice by more than 275 clinics worldwide and has been used in approximately 60,000 treatment cycles. It is estimated that more than 10,000 babies have been born using the EmbryoScope┬« system.

MedTech’s Laboratory Solutions Division Announces OvaDesign

Contemporary Design and Construction of ART Laboratories
OvaDesign specializes in the contemporary design and construction of ART laboratories with the goal of creating successful blastocyst and single embryo transfer programs. Kathleen Miller, MedTech’s vice president, leads the projects from the inception of the design through the construction process, involving you in each phase of final decision making. Whether you are building a brand new laboratory, or refining an existing one, MedTech provides the hands-on experience necessary for success.

Since 2010, MedTech has worked with CTA Group of Billings, Montana, to design the most cutting-edge and cost-effective IVF clinics and laboratories possible. CTA’s expertise in healthcare design is centered on improving the lives of patients and staff through innovative and efficient design. This approach has kept CTA on the industry’s cutting edge. In fact, Modern Healthcare Magazine has ranked CTA in “The Top 100 for Architectural Design Firms for Healthcare in The U.S.” since 2003. We are also happy to work with your engineering and architectural team.

We’ve designed state-of-the-art laboratories at Billings Clinic of Montana, Coastal Fertility Center of Charleston, SC, UNC Fertility Center, University of Alabama and Advanced Reproductive Medicine and Gynecology’s Fertility Institute of Hawaii. They continue to deliver exceptional pregnancy rates and cutting edge technologies. We are pleased to announce the opening of Aurora Reproductive Care in Saskatoon in July 2013 and the opening of Family Fertility Center at Texas Childrens’ Hospital/Baylor School of Medicine at the end of the year.

   Practice Development

Developing an in-house egg donor program is one successful way of doing this. It is a major growth area for most practices. Recruiting and developing your own in-house donor pool is a more cost-effective solution for patients requiring donors, and it eliminates the need for expensive outside donor agencies.

Being able to present your patients a selection of donors that are pre-screened by your staff and physicians is key. Jeanette Yates, RN, from Fertility Specialists of Texas said, “Our internal donor program allows us to develop a relationship with the donors that fosters a high level of commitment.”

You are already aware that fertility treatment can be stressful for your patients. The reliability of in-house egg donors will give them peace of mind during the process.

We will design your program to reach the best egg donor candidates as we did for Fertility Specialists of Texas.

The American College of Embryology Names Kathleen Miller Embryologist of the Month July 2013

The American College of Embryology named Kathleen Miller, Vice President of MedTech For Solutions, Inc., Embryologist of the Month in July 2013 for her contributions in the assisted reproductive technologies (ART) industry.

“She is well-known in the field [and] represents the best in embryology from North America,” remarked Dr. Dmitri Dozortsev, President of the American College of Embryology (EMBCOL), on how his committee chose Ms. Miller for the award. EMBCOL considered the achievements of Ms. Miller’s entire career in embryology.

Her advances in blastocyst culture and pre-implantation genetics, use of EmbryoScope® Time-lapse microscopy, and publication of over 100 papers and abstracts contributed greatly to the decision.

Dr. Dozortsev hopes the award will bring greater awareness to patients about embryology. “What happens in the background is important,” said Dr. Dozortsev. “It’s an art.” The American College of Embryology, an organization of embryology practitioners, serves patients, embryologists and the public by fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of reproductive embryology.  Visit the EMBCOL Web Site for more information on Kathleen Miller’s award.
