MedTech For Solutions is a unique company made up of individuals with extensive, broad-based experience in the healthcare field with a particularly comprehensive knowledge of the assisted reproductive technology (ART) industry. Dwight P. Ryan – President and CEO, is a seasoned CEO and CFO possessing extensive finance, accounting, and operations experience in healthcare and technology with early stage start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies. He was formerly the CFO of the publicly-traded infertility services company, IntegraMed America. He developed a revolutionary infertility case management company to streamline patient care and contain medical and pharmacy costs for leading healthcare insurance companies. He has spent the majority of his career in the area of infertility. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey and currently is Chief Operating Officer of Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, one of the leading ART facilities in the country. Mr. Ryan sits on the national board of RESOLVE and for four years served as its treasurer and member of the executive committee.
Nancy Ledy-Gurren - Chairperson and General Counsel, has extensive experience in risk management services, providing both pre-litigation programs and litigation supervision (as national or regional counsel) to senior living organizations, non-profit residential communities and infertility programs. She developed a risk management program and functions as national supervising counsel for Senior Living Communities nationwide and directs MedTech’s Senior Living Risk Management Division. On the infertility side, Ms. Ledy-Gurren has considerable experience in all of the legal aspects (tort and contractual) of infertility practices. She second-chaired the first “test tube baby” case in the Federal District Court (1978), and has defended numerous cases involving ART issues, including two class actions alleging consumer fraud in the use of success statistics. Ms. Ledy-Gurren is the founding partner of Ledy-Gurren Bass & Siff, LLP, a law firm in New York City.
Kathleen Miller – Vice President of Laboratory Services, leads the team specializing in assisted reproduction technologies. The author of more than 100 abstracts and papers on fertility and assisted reproduction technologies, Ms. Miller is well known for research advances in the field of blastocyst culture and pre-implantation genetics as well as a leading expert in laboratory management, quality improvement programs, and single embryo transfer.
Since 2010, Ms. Miller has been the Laboratory Director at Vancouver’s Genesis Fertility Centre where she is responsible for all functions of one of Canada’s largest (800 cycles) and most successful private practice clinical in vitro fertilization laboratories. Genesis Fertility Centre is dedicated to providing single embryo transfer therapy to patient undergoing IVF treatment. Between 2010 and early 2011 Ms Miller designed and opened the first IVF laboratory in Montana at Billings Clinic, a multi-specialty physicians’ clinic providing inpatient and outpatient care to a four-state region. Most recently, she has joined the IVF teams at University of Alabama at Birmingham and IVF Florida Reproductive Associates as embryology laboratory director. She is also a consultant at over a dozen IVF practices as well as a consultant for Sage IVF and Wallace Catheter. She also serves as an Expert Content Advisor for Biodigital Systems, a leading developer of biomedical visualization and medical simulation.
Previously, she was the director of the Assisted Reproduction Laboratories at the Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey and the joint program at Southeastern Fertility Center, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She is certified in the disciplines of embryology and andrology by the American Board of Bioanalysis. She is currently working on her PhD in epidemiology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida. A former president of the American Association of Bioanalysis (AAB), she is still an active member and serves on many committees of ASRM, ESHRE, and AAB.
Richard M. Grant - Vice President of Marketing and Client Relationships. Mr. Grant joined MedTech after a 33 year career in the insurance industry, specializing in the development of new product lines and marketing. He has the responsibility for developing new markets for MedTech and for insuring that MedTech responds to client interests for personalized programs.
Barbara Sciarrillo, R.N. – Director of Risk Management, supervises MedTech’s Senior Living Risk Management Division with emphasis on the clinical evaluation and development of corrective initiatives, and the development of clinical defenses. She has extensive experience in containing and limiting risk in ART practices. She has also developed consent revision programs for numerous ART practices and is a member of ASRM.
